Kharmang lies upstream along the Indus toward the east, a quieter direction than the usual Skardu circuit. Manthoka waterfall drops in a single long fall through a side gorge and is the set piece of the trip, but the valley itself — narrow, green, and lightly visited — is the reason to spend the day.
