Trango Towers Base Trek
About This Route
The Trango Towers rise straight off the Baltoro Glacier as some of the largest granite walls on earth — the Nameless Tower alone is a near-vertical face of around a thousand metres. This route follows the Baltoro approach as far as the Trango base area rather than continuing to Concordia.
It gives much of the character of the Baltoro — the Braldu approach, the step onto the glacier, the scale of the walls — over a shorter and less committing trip than K2 Base Camp.
